Flower Child, North Italia and Blanco Cocina + Cantina are under construction and anticipated to open this fall, Charley Freericks, senior vice president of Catellus Corp. and the master developer of Novus, said. The three are being constructed around a grassy courtyard that will include a small amphitheater and shade structure for outdoor events and concerts. The development is west of Rural Road on the newly built Novus Place. Over Easy, a breakfast restaurant, opened in May on the ground floor of the Piedmont apartment building, and Blue Sushi, a sushi and sake restaurant, is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2024, Freericks said.
