New hotel breaks ground in Casa Grande. Marriott Hotel: With 145 rooms on Promenade Parkway, it will “comprise the company’s off-shoot brands of Fairfield [63 rooms] and TownePlace Suites [82 rooms].” Amenities will include “a 2400-square-foot meeting space” as well as an “outdoor swimming pool, outdoor patio with barbecue pits,” and “possibly” a “pickleball court.”Ash Patel, CEO of SouthWest Hospitality Management, said that “with all the major companies coming in… and growing mining operations, we found that this community was missing those upper mid-tier select service hospitality rooms.” Casa Grande Mayor Craig McFarland: “This hotel project is something we’ve been really working on for a while and it’s so important for the city of Casa Grande and really for our community as a whole. This is a landmark project.” Check-in time: The groundbreaking ceremony for the four-story, 63-foot hotel took place on Monday. Built by “Surprise-based Desert Build,” it is “expected to be completed in approximately 14 months.”
