San Jose-based semiconductor supplier Pure Wafer is planning to triple capacity of its production site in Prescott after closing a private equity deal. New York-based private equity firm ZMC acquired a majority stake in Pure Wafer on Nov. 13 and will invest more than $30 million in expanding wafer operations and upgrading equipment at the company’s existing Prescott facility, Pure Wafer CEO Mark Borowicz told the Business Journal.
