Eyemart Express opened Sept. 8 at Plaza Vista Mall, marking the national optical retailer's first Cochise County location and sixth store in Arizona.

The store offers same-day prescription glasses and safety glasses, along with eye exams, retinal imaging and Saturday appointments. Two doctors are on site six days a week.

A grand opening is planned Sept. 30, when McBride said the first 25 adults and first 25 children will receive vouchers for free glasses.
