An abandoned golf course at the southeast corner of 59th and Southern avenues in Phoenix's Laveen Village could get a new lease on life, after years of intense talks between the property's owner and community residents. The developer also pared back the number of homes nearly in half, down to 415 from 800, Baugh said. All 415 homes will be for-sale homes, and no rental apartments will be included in the master plan, he said.
