Crossover Wind, a 135-megawatt wind power project in Cross County, has advanced into the construction stage, the project's parent company, Canadian-owned Cordelio Power, said Tuesday.

The wind farm is located on U.S. 64, about 4.5 miles outside Wynne. There are thirty-two turbines planned for the project. It is on track to be Arkansas' first wind farm, if everything goes according to plan.

Also announced going into the construction phase were three other Cordelio renewable power projects. One additional project, a wind power farm in Illinois, advanced into the commercial operations stage.
