King Soopers broke ground on its newest grocery store in Denver on Friday. The 103,000-square-foot store will be located at 4201 E. Arkansas Ave., and the store said it represents a $37.1 million investment in the Denver community. 

The store will replace the Belcaro location about a mile to the north, at 825 S. Colorado Blvd. The company said the existing store had outgrown its location, and the relocation is a step toward better serving growing demand in the area.
