Del Taco has reopened five of its 18 shuttered Colorado restaurants with a dozen more planned, the company said this week. Del Taco closed the restaurants in February after a franchisee, Newport Ventures, filed for bankruptcy.

The brand, which is in the process of being sold by parent San Diego, Calif.-based Jack in the Box Inc., said the stores now have digital-order kiosks and have been updated.
