Adhesive manufacturer Nitto will open a multimillion-dollar advanced materials facility in Frankfort, Kentucky, creating 220 full-time manufacturing jobs, according to a Jan. 9 press release from Gov. Andy Beshear.
The new facility is expected to be operational by this spring and aims to serve Kentucky’s automotive and aerospace sectors.
Even as the company grows its manufacturing presence, however, Nitto has also been enduring layoffs at three of its manufacturing facilities in the past few months.
