The People’s United Bank Building in Portland, Maine is set to be brought back to life as a luxury hotel. Situated on 465 Congress Street, the building was built in 1909 and its 10-story size made it the tallest building in the city at the time. Developer Fathom Companies purchased the building for over $9 million in June, and is planning its redevelopment into a 92-room hotel with a full-service restaurant.
