Dive Brief:
My Place Hotels of America opened a 64-key upper midscale extended stay hotel in St. Joseph, Missouri, the hotel brand announced Thursday in a release obtained by Hotel Dive. 
The hotel, offering standard My Place amenities including a full kitchen, was developed by its owner, Jacksonville, Florida-based Rimrock Companies. The property was designed by Salt Lake City-based Richardson Design Partnership and is managed by Overland Park, Kansas-based Hotel Management and Consulting.
The property builds My Place’s portfolio of extended stay hotels amid the company’s nationwide expansion in the growing segment. CEO Ryan Rivett told Hotel Dive in August that the brand had a pipeline of 45 projects set to open within 24 months.
