Carlyle Group is well on its way to raising its latest, and likely largest, real estate investment fund. The Washington, D.C., investment manager, with $426 billion of assets under management, launched capital-raising for the vehicle, Carlyle Realty Partners X, earlier this year with an $8 billion target and $10 billion hard cap. It would be a follow-up to Partners IX, through which the company had raised roughly $8 billion, well exceeding its $6 billion target. Its funds have gotten progressively larger.
