When you’re the size of Prologis, carving out even a small part of your portfolio for an alternative use can create a business that would make you a big player in other sectors. The logistics giant is putting that to the test, recently launching a dedicated data centre arm that could create a $25B portfolio, making it one of the largest owners in the fast-growing sector. And in the UK, Prologis is building a life sciences campus that has a potential end value of £500M ($638M).
