Jones Street Investment Partners last year had acquired apartment properties with 2,368 units, investing $213.42 million of equity, nearly tripling its 2022 investment activity when it invested $100 million of equity into three properties with 817 units. The Boston investment manager, which has $1.8 billion of assets under management, comprised of 25 properties with 6,700 units and four properties with 862 units under development, views itself as contrarian, pursuing the mantra that it should be investing while others are divesting their properties. "Now is a good time" to buy, explained Matt Ranalli, chief investment officer, who co-founded the company in 2014 with another Pennsylvania State University alumnus, Matt Frazier, who serves as chief executive.
