Whole Foods Market is gearing up to bolster its Manhattan presence with its small-format Daily Shops.
The specialty grocer’s previously announced East Village StuyTown and Hell’s Kitchen Daily Shop stores will open on May 14 and June 4, respectively, according to a Wednesday press release.
The East Village Daily Shop, located at 409 East 14th St., will span 10,000 square feet and include a Java & Juice venue serving tea, coffee, juices, smoothies, sandwiches and desserts. The store will also introduce ginger beer maker Uncle Waithley’s, a new local Harlem-based supplier
The Hell’s Kitchen store at 301 West 50th St., meanwhile, is smaller at 8,500 square feet.
