Hyatt Hotels and Carmel, Indiana-based Birkla Investment Group will open a Hyatt Centric hotel in downtown Cincinnati, the companies announced Wednesday. 
The 170-room hotel will sit within the AT580 building, a residential mixed-use facility that will be revamped to include hotel rooms and upscale restaurants, according to Tony Birkla, owner of Birkla Investment Group. 
Hyatt Centric Cincinnati marks the brand’s entry into Ohio. Hyatt Global Head of Americas Development Dan Hansen said the company is expanding the brand “in the urban markets that our guests and World of Hyatt members seek most, particularly in vibrant city centers like Cincinnati.”
