Left Lane Development JV to redevelop Gulf Tower as part of Gov. Shapiro’s downtown plan, will add hotel, restaurant and luxury apartments

The 44-story Gulf Tower, built in 1932, is a jewel of the Pittsburgh skyline. Left Lane said the skyscraper would be "reborn," as the developer looks to add street-level retail, an all-day bar and restaurant, 126 luxury hotel rooms and 225 upscale apartments. According to the release, 27 of the 225 apartments would be reserved for "workforce housing," providing an affordable option for residents earning up to 80% of the area's median income.
