It's official: Buc-ee's is headed to Jasper County. On Thursday night, Hardeeville City Council approved plans for a 46-acre lot, known as 'Hardee Station,' by U.S. 278 and I-95. Part of that project includes a new Buc-ee's travel center.

As discussed during the council meeting, the store is scheduled to open in 2028, coinciding with the widening of I-95 and redevelopment of exit 8 by the South Carolina Department of Transportation. City leaders say the Buc-ee's location will create about 200 new jobs.
