A Gulch project that was stalled during construction after a street collapse is back on track. Society Nashville, a 16-story apartment tower on Division Street, has begun pre-leasing, according to a news release. The news comes two years after a stop work order was issued on the site of the development when one lane of Division Street caved in due to construction. Led by Property Market Group (PMG) and partners New Valley and RMWC, construction has completed on Society Nashville, with the first residents expected to move in in late January. The tower offers 502 units, as well as 8,400 square feet of retail spaces that include SWTHZ The Gulch, a cold plunge and sauna studio, as well as The Format Fitness, a pilates studio. The firm purchased the property where the tower is located, at 915 Division St., for $22 million in 2021, and Baker Barrios Architects led design for the project. “Starting pre-leasing is a rewarding reflection of the hard work and collaboration our team and partners have dedicated to delivering a world-class apartment community in-line with the Gulch’s phenomenal growth,” Ryan Shear, managing partner at PMG, said in the release.
