Texas' favorite grocery store appears to be eyeing a new location in another growing city. Buda residents may be getting a new H-E-B on the northwest corner of I-35 and Main Street.
In a 5-1 vote, the city's planning and zoning commission recommended approval of a zoning change on Tuesday, November 12, for the San Antonio-based grocer to redevelop nearly 21 acres of land for a proposed store. This "Planned Development" (PD) would be part of the I-35 Business District (B-3) intended for general retail and commercial activities that serve the community and its visitors, according to Buda's development code.
